Building Back Better Post COVID – 19 (BBBC)

The project is divided into two components:

Component 1 – Building back better post-pandemic awareness campaign

The Awareness campaign focused on 6 main topics:

• EV Cars in Jordan.
• Efficient use of resources and wastes reduction.
• Reduction of using single-use-plastics.
• Efficient use of water.
• Physical and mental health of wellbeing.
• Working from home effectively.

The awareness campaign was performed in the forms of:

• 6 Technical brochures
• Waste Management Within Institutional and Commercial Buildings During Pandemic Conditions Guideline.
• 7 videos:
• 5 Animated videos:
• 1 Info Graphic video.
• 1 Video.
• 7 posters.

Component 2 – Pilot Scale Solid Waste Management Program

This component included:

• Distribution of bins specially for COVID-contaminated waste accompanied with awareness brochures in five locations:
• British embassy Amman.
• Ministry of Environment.
• The Greater Amman Municipality.
• Princess Sumaya University of Technology.
• EDAMA Association.
• Awareness sessions for waste pickers and building managers of the Ministry of Environment, The Greater Amman Municipality, Princess Sumaya University of Technology.
• Coordination with the Greater Amman Municipality.
• Developing a waste treatment guideline.
