EDAMA Association for Energy, Water & Environment has released a recommendations paper titled “Hybrid Inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems: Advancing Clean Energy Solutions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” based on the outcomes of a specialized workshop held on June 22, 2026, with experts and representatives from the public and private sectors and relevant stakeholders.

The paper puts forward strategic, legislative, technical, and financial recommendations, including adopting storage systems as a cost-effective alternative to conventional generation plants, updating regulatory frameworks (including expanding zero-export allowances), activating time-of-use electricity tariffs, and introducing customs and tax incentives for battery technologies, alongside national capacity-building and readiness for emerging technologies such as smart EV grid integration and AI.

These recommendations aim to strengthen electricity grid stability, support the integration of storage systems, and incentivize investment in the sector — advancing grid efficiency and the long-term sustainability of Jordan’s energy sector.
