Amman, July 10, 2024– EDAMA for Energy, Water, and Environment, represented by Mr. Imad Zureikat, General Manager, and the Sustainable Community and Development Association (SCDA), represented by Eng. Haneen Hassouneh, General Manager, have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing sustainability efforts within Jordanian Private and public sector.
This collaboration focuses on developing specialized courses designed to equip EDAMA members with advanced knowledge and practical skills in sustainable practices across energy, water, and environmental sectors. Key areas of emphasis including:
- Waste Management in Facilities – Strategies: Developing effective strategies for sustainable waste management practices.
- Waste Audit and Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments to analyze waste generation sources, types, and quantities within facilities.
- Source Reduction: Implementing measures to minimize waste generation through process optimization, material substitution, and operational improvements.
- Energy Efficiency in Waste Management: Exploring techniques and technologies to enhance energy efficiency during waste management processes, promoting sustainable practices and cost savings.
- GIMI Innovation: Fostering innovation through the integration of Green Industry and Manufacturing Initiative (GIMI) principles into sustainable practices.
- Green Economy and Circular Economy: Promoting the principles of the green and circular economy to achieve sustainable development goals.
