On Monday, January 26, 2026, EDAMA Association for Energy, Water and Environment, in collaboration with Amman Vision for Treatment and Recycling, launched the workshop titled “Waste Sorting at Source in the Workplace: Be Part of the Change” at EDAMA’s offices in Amman.
The workshop welcomed participation from several EDAMA members, particularly from the banking and energy sectors, as part of EDAMA’s efforts to empower its members to adopt sustainable and practical waste management practices within their workplaces.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness about the importance of waste sorting at source and to highlight the pivotal role institutions and employees play in improving waste management, reducing environmental impact, and achieving economic benefits through the application of sustainable and practical solutions.
The program included interactive sessions focusing on key topics such as:
- The importance of waste sorting at source in the workplace
- The strategic role of institutions and employees in sorting processes
- The realities and challenges of managing office waste
- Practical methods for implementing waste sorting at source
- The daily impact of employee behaviors on the environment and economy
- Best practices in waste collection, treatment, and recycling
- Promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental leadership within institutions
EDAMA emphasized that this workshop is part of a series of activities aimed at empowering EDAMA members and building their capacities in environmental sustainability, as well as strengthening partnerships with the private sector to promote responsible and sustainable practices across various industries.
This event represents a practical step towards supporting the transition to a circular economy and enhancing waste management in workplaces, with plans to continue organizing similar workshops in the near future.
