Dr. Dureid Mahasneh is the CEO of Gargour Shipping Company in Jordan, bringing extensive expertise in marine sciences and environmental sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Hydrology and Marine Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Throughout his career, Dr. Mahasneh has held key positions, including Assistant Professor at Yarmouk University, Director General of the Marine Science Station in Aqaba, and Secretary General of the Aqaba Region Authority. He has also served as Director General of the Aqaba Ports Corporation, Secretary General of the Jordan Valley Authority, and COO of the Tawfiq Gargour Group.

Dr. Dureid has been honored with several prestigious awards, such as the Independence Medal of the First Order, the Distinguished Performance Medal of the First Order, and the International Organization for Conservation of Nature Appreciation Award. He is a strong advocate for environmental sustainability and tolerance, integrating these values into his professional and personal life.

In 1983, Dr. Dureid was a Fulbright fellow at Duke University. He also worked as a consultant from 2000 to 2005. Currently, he holds board memberships with several respected organizations, including the National Insurance Company, Al al-Bayt University, the Hamdi Mango Research Centre, and the Jordan Shipping Association.
