The Story

I came to Jordan as part of the School for International Training study abroad program. During the program’s internship period, I was attracted to EDAMA by the glowing internship testimonials on its website. As my time with the organization ends, I am honored to both confirm these enthusiastic endorsements and write my own.
I arrived on my first day at EDAMA with a concern unique to internships: “Will I have enough to do?” However, this worry quickly dissolved during my welcoming meeting. As my various tasks were laid in front of me and explained, I quickly realized, “Oh God, I have so much to do.”
Reflecting on this initial reaction, I truly underestimated EDAMA’s supportive work environment, consisting of warm smiles, gentle encouragement, and a familial atmosphere. Within this stress-free but focused office culture, I grew with every task and felt more confident every day. As a result, I am leaving the organization with the practical experience needed to thrive in the development field, for which I am truly grateful.
