Location: Amman, Jordan
Duration: 30 months full-time, subject to probation completion and/or funding availability.

- Background
EDAMA Association for Energy, Water, and Environment is a leading Jordanian non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a green economy through innovation, policy dialogue, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
EDAMA is a core partner in WEEEVALUE (A_T_2.4_0613) project, a 30-month, €2.786.000 Project funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. The project consortium comprises 8 partners from Greece, Jordan, Spain, Cyprus, Lebanon, Türkiye, Tunisia, and Italy. WEEEVALUE aims to promote local and regional policies for better management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) through transnational cooperation, pilot actions, and the development of innovative circular economy business models.
To ensure the effective implementation of its activities, EDAMA is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Projects Officer to join its dynamic team.
- Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Projects Manager, the Projects Officer will be responsible for the following tasks related to WEEEVALUE project and other similar projects:
- Project Management & Implementation:
- Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation of assigned Work Packages, ensuring all activities are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop detailed work plans and monitor project progress against set indicators and milestones.
- Prepare and submit high-quality periodic technical and financial reports in strict accordance with EDAMA and EU requirements.
- Technical & Stakeholder Work:
- Conduct desk reviews, field research, and stakeholder mapping related to WEEE sector in Jordan.
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder consultations, interviews, workshops, and policy dialogues with public authorities, private companies, NGOs, EDAMA members and academia.
- Contribute primarily to the development of project outputs.
- Support the design, monitoring, and evaluation of pilot actions in Jordan.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Develop and deliver high-quality professional presentations in both English and Arabic for various audiences including EDAMA Members, stakeholders, and policymakers.
- Actively represent EDAMA by presenting project updates and results in project meetings, workshops, and international conferences when needed.
- Work closely with the communication team to ensure effective dissemination of project results and visibility in line with EU communication guidelines.
- Provide communication support to EDAMA’s team by drafting content, preparing talking points, and developing materials for various organizational needs related to the project.
- Required Qualifications
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science/management, Engineering, Business Administration, Public relations or a directly related field is required. Additional relevant experience will be considered favorably.
- Experience:
- No more than 2 years of professional experience. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Essential Requirement: At least 1 year of experience, or a dedicated internship, involving work on European Union funding programmes (e.g., ENI/CBC, Interreg, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, etc.). Academic projects focused on EU policy or procedures may also be considered.
- Demonstrated interest in project management, stakeholder engagement, or report writing through academic work, internships, or volunteer activities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver clear presentations. This can be evidenced through academic presentations, internship responsibilities, or other relevant activities.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills in both English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Word and PowerPoint) for creating professional presentations and reports.
