Main Objective

To support the transition toward a circular and resource-efficient economy by improving local and regional e-waste management systems, strengthening policy frameworks, and promoting sustainable collection, reuse, recycling, and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The project aims to reduce environmental pollution caused by improper e-waste disposal, address regulatory and operational gaps across Mediterranean countries, and stimulate innovative and inclusive business models that transform e-waste into economic and social value.

Results

  • Development of a transnational methodology for circular WEEE management
  • Implementation of three pilot solutions: WEEE AWARE (awareness and behavior change), WEEE SOCIAL (social and inclusive e-waste models), and WEEE COLLECT (improved collection systems and digital tools)
  • Engagement of public authorities, businesses, schools, and communities across partner countries
  • Contribution to stronger policies and scalable circular e-waste models in the Mediterranean region
