Brief about EDAMA:

EDAMA association is a non-for-profit membership-based business association that focuses on water, environment and energy issues, three critical sectors for the development of Jordan. The association works in the areas of business development, public policy advocacy, education and training and seeks a qualified candidate to support in conducting research to support the association’s objectives.

Position Overview:

As a Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of Capacity Building and Institutionalization of the National Sector Skills Council for Water & Energy (WE SKILL) Project – PN: 81312965. This position is central to leading strategic, operational, and advisory functions that aim to develop a resilient, skilled workforce aligned with Jordan’s energy and water & Environment. The Project Officer will ensure effective coordination with stakeholders, provide technical expertise, and oversee project activities to achieve EDAMA’s goals, which include strengthening TVET “Technical Vocational Education Training “programs, promoting gender equality, and advancing sustainable development in alignment with Jordan’s national priorities and Sustainable Development Goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) regulations.
  2. Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports in accordance with GIZ reporting standards.
  3. Monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to the project management team.
  4. Facilitate communication and information sharing among project partners and stakeholders.
  5. Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  6. Conduct research and literature review in both languages (Arabic & English)
  7. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and NGO’s

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science and any related field).
  2. at least 1 year of experience/knowledge in project coordination, preferably in the context of EU-funded projects.
  3. Familiarity with EU and GIZ reporting standards and procedures.
  4. Strong research and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  7. Excellent writing skills in English
